You Need Not

I suppose I should finally explain, huh? I know I promised this sooner, but when so many people were sure it had something to do with Jak and Daxter, I didn't really wanna upload it anymore... I hate disappointing you guys an I know you've been waiting a long time for something on that front. Still, this piece made me happy, so meow.

SO! The dealybob with this- 

As of current over on Tumblr I am carrying out an AU RP with as Jonathan Crane within the X-Men universe, in which Dr. Crane is not a violent psychopath, but a latent mutant who's abilities were triggered by an unknown person whilst he was teaching at Gotham University. His abilities include both creating and removing fear from a mind, and triggering complex as well horrific hallucinations-- so much so that it can actually put the victim into cardiac arrest. So, yes, literally scare them to death. Jonathan only became active a few months ago, and since his powers have become active his general aversion to touch (due to abusive conditioning from Granny) has turned into an outright reflex where if anyone so much as brushes him, he reacts violently and instinctually.

Aristel has survived several out-bursts already, as she is a strong psychic mind. She's also taken it upon herself to try and help him deal with this aversion through a sort of exposure therapy, though she's not functioning within an official capacity of a doctor, simply a friend with psychiatric training. However, these two ended up having more chemistry than the CDC. While myself and Crane-mun didn't plan on shipping, shipping happened, with the two psychics in the room often expressing affection with their minds, as Jonathan is unable to currently accept the physical touch.

So yeah, that abstract piece from a while ago is symbolic of their respective mentalities.
